I have 5 or 6 maxi dresses, and for some reason, I've always kept them in the back of my closet until June when I consider it officially summer. I wear them on their own with flat sandals, espadrilles or wedges and some fun jewelry. When I went to visit my sister in San Diego earlier this month, I brought a hot pink maxi dress with me and wore it during the day, but later in the evening when we were going out to dinner, it got pretty chilly out. I didn't want to take off the dress since I rarely wear it, so I threw my leather jacket over it and wore it with my new studded flats instead of sandals. It was a combination I never thought to try before, and it made me realize that I can wear maxi dresses in the spring as well as in the summer! I shot the outfit when I got back to Boston so you could see it. Let me know what you think in the comments below!
I'm the same way…I only wear mine in the summer when it is officially warm every day. I really like how you paired yours with a leather jacket and flats for chilly weather! ~~megan~~ http://www.poshprime.com
Love the tie-dye hot pink maxi, Amy and how you added the edgy element to its flirty+feminine factor by wearing a black moto jacket over it. The clutch is so cute, also. =)
