What I Wore: Hooded Plaid

Happy Hump Day! For the rest of fall and throughout the winter months, I'm going to scale back to one outfit post per week instead of two. The winters in New England are pretty chilly, so I'm sure you guys can understand why I don't want to spend a ton of time outside shooting photos! Once spring comes around, I'll be back to posting twice a week again. :)

When Fecbek reached out to me and wanted to send me an item to style as part of their blogger program, my eyes immediately went to this plaid coat. The faux leather sleeves, toggle buttons and comfy hood made it really stand out for me. Because I don't currently own anything plaid except for a couple of scarves and all of my winter coats are boring solid colors, this was a welcome addition to my closet! Worn with a simple white v neck blouse, skinny jeans {organically distressed by yours truly when I tripped and fell in the alley behind my apartment building after a few cocktails,} burgundy pumps and a classic tote, this outfit is the perfect mix of casual and chic.

PS: Did you notice my tote is reversible? It flips from grey to black in under a minute! I received it thanks to Under One Sky, a new handbag line that's affordable and functional without sacrificing quality. I brought the tote with me to a Bruins game last week and my friend Ellie was shocked to learn that 1) it's made of faux leather and 2) it costs only $40 at Target!
