Although I don't talk about my day job much on the blog, I work at a small financial firm Mondays through Fridays, 8.30am-5.30pm, and need to adhere to a business casual dress code when I'm in the office. Because I have after-work commitments like blog events, dinner dates and the occasional cocktail with friends, I like to wear outfits that can easily transition from the office to whatever I have going on afterwards. Sometimes this is as easy as swapping a pair of basic pumps for a more fun shoe and switching from delicate jewelry to statement pieces, which is exactly what I do with this hunter green dress. In the office, I wore nude pumps, a vintage Chanel necklace and my Henri Bendel tote, and before I left the office I changed into my fun snakeskin sandals, big peacock feather earrings and a sequined clutch for drinks with friends.
What do you think of my office to cocktails look? How do you transition your wardrobe from work to play? Let me know in the comments below.
Very cute! I love those fun peacock earrings. I try to take as less with me as possible if I’m going out after work. (Because I have to walk a mile+ with it) I’ll change from a pencil skirt to skinny jeans and change up the shoes as well.
Eeee more spots where Craig and I had wedding photos haha!! You look beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteLove the color of the dress!! I do the same thing - wear a dress and then change up the shoes or jewelry!
