My Skin Care Regimen

I've been asked by a few friends lately to share the details of my skin care regimen, so I thought I'd write up a blog post on the topic to kill two birds with one stone! :) I have fairly sensitive skin and suffer from cystic acne if I don't use the right products, so it's taken me awhile to figure out what works for my face without breaking me out. Now that I have my routine down to an exact science, I figured I would share what works in case any of you are looking for new products to try!

daily face wash: SkinCeuticals 'Simply Clean' - $34
exfoliating face wash: dermalogica 'daily mirofoliant' - $45 {I use this 1-2x/week.}
clarifying mask: GlamGlow 'Supermud Clearing Treatment' - $69 {use as needed}
hydrating mask: dermalogica 'skin hydrating masue' - $34 {use 1x/week}

daily toner: Dr. Hauschka 'Facial Toner' - $35
daily serum: Lancome 'DreamTone' - $98 {has done wonders for my hyper-pigmentation and dark spots - my skin tone has completely evened out! my skin feels so good that I never wear foundation or even tinted moisturizer - just a bit of loose mineral face powder. I can't rave about this stuff enough.}
nightly serum: Clarity 'Vitamin C' Serum - $40

daily moisturizer (fall, winter, spring): Korres 'Wild Rose' - $35
nightly moisturizer: Josie Maran 'Argan Oil Light' - $48
daily moisturizer (summer): Lancome 'Bienfait Multi-Vital SPF 30' - $46
beach day sunscreen: SkinCeuticals 'Sheer Physical Defense SPF 50' - $34 {necessary to prevent sun damage when you're outside all day!}
eye sunscreen: Lancome 'Bienfait Multi-Vital Eye SPF 28' - $40 {don't forget your eyes, ears, etc. when spending time in the sun!}

zit zapper: Murad 'Acne Spot Fast Fix' - $16
eye de-puffer: bliss 'baggage handler' eye gel - $28 {keep in the fridge and use in the morning when your eyes are puffy!}
lip scrub: bliss 'fabulips' - $18

  6. I love your taste in products!! Everything looks amazing and there's a bunch that I want to try out (like the lancome moisturizer!) I really like your reviews - very honest and entertaining to read. Do you have one of Vain Pursuits? I’ve started to hear a lot about them and thought it’d be great to have more info!

  7. I've been so busy to complete my research topics for paediatrics dissertation that I completely neglected my skincare routine. As a result, I've noticed my skin isn't as healthy as it used to be. Now that I'm free from my university assignments, I'm looking for the best skincare products to get my skin back on track. Your regimen sounds promising, especially since I also have sensitive skin and deal with cystic acne. Could you recommend some products that might work for me?

  8. At the same time, I have discovered a proper skin care program that helps me have a clear skin without any problems. They include washing, moisturizing, and applying the sunscreen on the skin on a regular basis. I am very loyal to my skin care regimen and while take my chemistry exam tomorrow, I sometimes wish I could do this without the stress. Yes it is very tiresome but it pays off! Balancing school work and taking care of oneself is not a easy task.
