Last night, Ellie and I went out to a very traditional French restaurant called Saveurs de Savoie at 83 Rue Mouffetard in the 5eme. They had delicious fondue and raclette and the decor was so cozy and interesting - I definitely recommend checking this place out!
Then we decided to get dressed up and celebrate our last night together in Paris with some fancy cocktails at Hotel Le Meurice on Rue de Rivoli. It was the most beautiful hotel I've ever seen in my entire life - everything inside was so ornate, including the cloud painted ceiling! If you're in Paris, you must stop in for at least one drink...you won't regret it.
Ellie departed early this morning leaving me alone for my last day. It poured the whole day so I actually didn't go out and do much, but I wasn't too sad to stay in because I still had a great view outside my window! I packed, did laundry and cleaned up around the apartment while sharpening my language skills with some French TV. :)
I did something totally American and got a takeout pizza for dinner...I guess you could say I missed home a little bit! :)
My trip was absolutely amazing and I can't believe it's come to an end. I know I'll visit Paris again someday, so I'm not too sad, but I'm not looking forward to being back in the real world anytime soon!
