Runway Inspiration: Ballet

As a former dancer, I'm always drawn to clothing that reminds me of my days on stage. Blush pink, ruffles, tulle, feathers, sequins, lace, rhinestones, ankle wrap shoes....the list could go on and on. When looking at the latest Spring 2014 RTW runway shows, I noticed a few outfits that looked very ballet inspired to me. What do you think of my picks - do they remind you of ballerinas or am I the only one?

    I LOVE that Rocha's white tea length tulle skirt. I feel like you are slowly turning me more feminine and have me buying ballerina inspired items and even pastel pink! Thanks for being such an inspiration!

    Ugh, I love the Temperley London dress so much! I definitely think I need a tulle skirt in my closet ASAP. It's only appropriate, considering my blog name!

    It's not just you my dear! I definitely see the ballet influence. Those Alberta Ferreti shoes are to die for!

    With lots of shows featuring separate sets in bright colors, it's refereshing to see something more romantic!

    Oh my gosh. So overwhelmingly pretty! I am 100% with you on the stage look. I especially love anything that has that Victorian/1800 harlequin look. Give me lace, petticoats, tulle any day :P
