Beauty Inspiration: Summer Highlights

Summer is here and it's the perfect time to lighten up! {Your hair, that is.} I am a natural dirty blonde but always like to add a few more lighter blonde highlights to my hair for the summer months.



I think highlights or a lighter ombre can look great on brunettes when done well too - you can go "bronde" for summer! {see Leighton and Rachel below for examples.} Do you go lighter for summer? Which look below is your favorite?

    I actually had the first picture pinned already and am thinking about getting these sort of highlights done this summer even though it would be a drastic change. They all look so pretty though!

    Your hair looks gorgeous! My hair naturally goes lighter from the sun in the summer, so I just let it do it's thing.

    You have really pretty hair, Amy! I also like Elizabeth Olsen's highlights in the photo. My hair is naturally blonde and gets much lighter during the summer when I can find time to get outside!
