An Ode to Peonies

Happy Monday everyone! I really want to thank you for all the kind comments, emails and tweets I received last week after my personal update. Your support and thoughtful words during this tough time mean a lot to me. The blogger community is absolutely amazing and it feels so good to know I have virtual friends out there! :)

May is my favorite month not only because my birthday is on the 20th but because my favorite flower blooms for the first time all year. What could be more beautiful than a fresh bouquet of fragrant peonies? I can't think of anything! The smell alone makes me smile, and watching the peonies start in tiny balled up buds and then open up to big, ruffled flowers is so gorgeous. I wanted to share my favorite flower with you today in hopes it starts your week off on the right foot. Which flower is your favorite and why?

    Peonies are at the top of my favorite flower list too, along with tulips and ranunculus!

    peonies are by far my favorite flower. even when your managers screw up and give you fake ones, they still are nice. :)

    I love peonies - these are all so pretty! My faves are orchids (they're just so exotic and unique) and stargazer lilies (i love the bright pink and they smell amazing)!
