I started dancing at the age of 3 when my mum enrolled me in preschool ballet classes. I went on to dance competitively and minor in dance in college, and I still take an occasional class at the Boston Ballet. Dance was a huge part of my life growing up and has shaped who I am in many ways - my personality, my sense of style, my favorite color (ballet pink!), my work ethic, my attention to detail and my appreciation of beauty. I wanted to share some beautiful, inspiring ballet photos I've found with you all today...which one is your favorite? Do you love ballet as much as I do? :)

I love the one with all of the bright tutus! I always find ballerinas to be so elegant looking even when they're not dancing.
ReplyDeleteI took ballet for a few years when I was young :)
So cool you started dancing at such a young age. I took ballet when I was younger and then never did it again for some reason, but I love all of these beautiful photos!! xo, Julie

I've never been a dancer, but I totally appreciate how beautiful ballet is and I love going to the ballet!
ReplyDeleteWhen I did ballet and tap as a kid I was about a foot taller than all the girls in my class and I quit when I was 6 because I thought I was too fat. When I started doing musicals in high school I was told that I really had a talent for dancing and since then I've always regretted letting it fall by the wayside in my life. I'm pretty sure if you gave me three wishes one of them would be incredible tap dancing skills. Watching white christmas always makes me so envious. These are such gorgeous photos! I so admire you for sticking with dance. It's such a beautiful and feminine skill.

Gorgeous photos! Wished I would have danced longer than I did. And next time I come to Boston, I'm contacting you, so we can meet up! That would have been so fun!! I just LOVE your city & the people are all so friendly:)

If I could gain any talent it would be ballet, as a kid I did ballet lessons and loved them (even if I was hopeless) my parents couldn't afford them as a teenager so I stopped. To this day I long to be a ballerina but either their are no adult lessons where I live or I myself cannot afford them. These pictures are so beautiful! Xxx
ReplyDeleteI still dance (I teach jazz & tap) but not ballet. I try and take a class every now and then to keep my technique up to par. I wish my arabesque looked like hers!!
