I definitely did not go hungry at this event! There were many samples of chocolate, cookies and caramels to go around along with champagne. :) I really loved Little Bits Toffee, a local company started by sisters-in-law Heather and Melissa. Cocoanuts is the first shop to carry their toffee and they've been growing ever since! Their toffee was absolutely perfect - flavorful, crunchy and just the right level of sweet. My favorite flavors were sea salt and original and I picked up a box to take home with me. How cute is their packaging??
There were lots of great Valentine's Day gifts on display, so if you live in the area and your significant other has a sweet tooth, I definitely recommend stopping to pick up a few things! Or buy yourself a little something like I did... :)
I think my favorite treats at the event were Rebecca's super unique and delicious chocolates. A trained pastry chef longing to have a little fun with desserts, she created her own company called Yes Chocolates and runs it right out of her apartment. Her chocolates look and taste absolutely amazing, and with fun flavors like Berry Smoothie, Sticky Bun and The Perfect Pour, you can see why shops all over Massachusetts have selling her creations faster than she can make them! I bought myself an 8 piece assortment and can't wait to share it with my coworkers tomorrow. :)
So my fellow Bostonians, if you haven't already, you MUST check out Cocoanuts at 28 Parmenter Street (between Hanover and Salem) in the North End. And for those of you planning to visit my lovely city in the near future, please stop by and tell Jen and Tara that I sent you!
I hope your coworkers love the chocolate! The goodies I bought are going to be a Valentine's Day gift and I know the recipient will share them with me :) win win! It was so great meeting you last night. I hope to see you again soon!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful recap Amy! I will definitely be sure to pop by during my next visit to the North End and tell them I was recommended by you :)
