Splurge vs. Steal: Wool Camel Trench Coat

As a New England girl who has lived through 26 cold and snowy winters, I know how important it is to invest in a warm winter coat to get through the snowy days and long, dark nights. One of my favorite ways to continue looking chic while battling the frigid weather is wearing a classic camel colored trench coat - it goes with everything in my wardrobe and keeps me warm. This year I need to find a new camel coat as the one I wore the past couple of years is too big now (yay for losing weight!!)

This Burberry London trench is just the style I'm looking for, but not exactly in my price range at the moment:

So, I decided to hunt for a few lower priced options to get me through another New England winter. Here are my top 6 picks - which is your favorite?

top row, left to right:
Adele Fado wool blend coat - $235 {the hood would keep your neck and ears so warm!}
Michael Kors 'Reefer' felt coat - $350 {love the pocket detailing}
Stefanel double breasted wool coat - $206 {the cute gold buttons make this one stand out}

bottom row, left to right:
Wallis military coat - $115 {you can't beat this price!}
Calvin Klein double breasted wool blend coat - $295 {the oatmeal color makes it great for daytime}
Miss Sixty funnel neck coat - $155 {love the simple, classic shape}

  2. I think you should eliminate the double-breasted options, as they make you look wider (downplaying your weight loss success). And I like those that have a belt to accentuate your waist, important when wearing bulky winter layers. All are beautiful, though.

    1. i agree, i don't think i personally could buy one without a belt due to my hourglass shape! and good tip on the single vs. double breasted options.
